In the fall of 1995, the above T-33A, S/N 57-0713, replaced the former Museum's T-33A, S/N 57-0575. S/N 57-0713 was formerly assigned to the local 302nd AW for the purpose of Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR) training and when it became excess to the 302nd's requirements and being in better physical condition than the Museum's 57-0575, it was exchanged with 57-0575. The above T-33A (57-0713) was repainted to the Museum's standards in June of 2001. The old T-33A display (S/N 57-0575) was declared excess to the Museum's needs on 11 September 1995 and has since been removed from the museum grounds to be used as a crash rescue training prop by the base fire department.
