On 01 July 2004, Retired Brigadier General Jerry M. "Mike" Drennan, past commander of the 21st Space Wing, Peterson Air Force Base CO and president of the Peterson Air & Space Museum Foundation was the presiding officer for the retirement of M/SGT Jerry B. Edwards. M/SGT Edwards was assigned to the 4th Space Operations Squadron, 50th Space Wing, Schriever AFB CO.
