DRENNAN called the meeting to order at 0900 hours in the Operations Building Conference Room.

 

A. OLD BUSINESS: 

 

 1. FINANCIAL REPORT:

- Financial status as of 31 Dec 07 was presented to and accepted by the staff.  Statement is attached. (WEAVER-INFO)

Cash Available:  $22,971                          

CY 07 Income:  $32,805

CY 07 Expenditures: 34,288

             

2. CURATOR’S UPDATE (WHALEN):

.          

PK SHROUD

-  Shroud and BUS transported by the 302 AW and is sitting on the pad next to the Old City Hangar.

-  Both will be display inside the Hangar with the PK MPT.

 

PAVE PAWS TRAINER:

-  No change.

 

            F-4C ACCIDENT:

            - Nothing new.

           

            PK MPT UPDATE:

            -  Enclosure is about 80 percent complete.

            -  Work is sixty days ahead of schedule.

            -  Almost 2,000 hours of work.

            -  Training for Docent will be accomplished.

            -  Dedication ceremony is scheduled 5-9 May Guardian Challenge

           

            F-101B AIRCRAFT:

            - New option is to place F-101B AC East of the Broadmoor Hangar.

            - Restoration work will be accomplished in that area.

            - Final siteing for the AC is by the East Gate.

 

           

 

STRATEGIC PLAN:

- Updated early January.

- Three major priorities for 2008.

            1) Complete PK MPT

            2) Complete all Hangar exhibits.

            3) Continue painting of Airpark AC.

           

 3. ARTIFACTS, ACCESSIONS & NEWLETTER (MC KINNEY):

            -  56 accessions for the year.

            - Working on accession folders & inventory

-  December Newsletter released.  Need inputs for next newsletter by 15 Feb 08

   

  4. VOLUNTEER SUPPORT (WEAVER):

  5.  WEBSITE (SMALLEY):

            -  87,189 hits to date.

            -  PK MPT assembly posted to site.

            - Web site contains 1,656 pages, 2,892 files, 152 MB used out of 200 MB available.

 

 6. BLACK GANG (GRAY):

-  All out effort on the PK MPT.

- Lots of support from many individuals from both the Museum Volunteers and Base units.

-  Many thanks to everyone.

           

 7. DOCENT PROGRAM (GRIER):

            - Two Training classes scheduled during Jan and Feb 08.

- Several New Docents have been added.  Always room for more.

- 2007 visitor number was a record.  Expect 2008 to be larger.

                       

8. RESEARCH LIBRARY (WHALEN):

            - Looking at a more appropriate name.

            - Logged in almost 500 books.  Now working on pictures, and other support materials.

New Software received and working well.            

 

 

 

 

 

 

B. NEW BUSINESS:

 

            - DSP Model is being prepared for shipment to the Museum. (GRAY)
