Above F-15A, S/N 76-0024, was on its way to "boneyard" at Davis Monthan AFB AZ from the 102nd Fighter Wing at Otis ANGB MA, when it broke down here at Peterson AFB in late 1993. For that story, click here. The aircraft was repainted by the local 302nd Airlift Wing to the 5th FIS Minot AFB ND colors when it was discovered that it had been photographed escorting a Soviet Bear  while assigned to Minot.
