The above undated photo shows F-104A, S/N 56-0808, with the 83rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS) emblem on the tail. The 83rd FIS, at Hamilton AFB CA, was the first ADC F-104A squadron becoming operational in December of 1957. In July of 1960, the Hamilton AFB CA F-104As were replaced by F-101Bs.
