The Museum is located on Peterson Air Force Base in Building 981 at the intersection of Peterson Boulevard and East Ent Avenue. Peterson Air Force Base is seven miles east of downtown Colorado Springs. The main entrance to the new Visitor Control Center (as of 05 Nov 07) is at the Peterson AFB West Gate, which is located east off Powers Boulevard at Airport Road.

Access & Admission

Due to security conditions, access to the Museum is restricted to (1) Visitors with military identification or visitors escorted by DOD cardholders. (2) For civilian access with non-military identification cards, click here for detailed instructions. Please call to check on current base access procedures. Tour groups should contact the Museum Curator (719-556-4915) for base access arrangements. The museum can grant access to the base for visiting the museum only. Groups or individuals desiring tours of other Peterson AFB facilities should contact the 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office (719-556-4696) for arrangements.  Admission to the museum and airpark is free.

Days/Hours of Operation

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday

Museum closed Sunday, Monday and Federal Holidays.

Airpark available for viewing all the time.
