Erv,

Some historical information of note for the web site.  I recently obtained an aircraft assignment history for our display CF-101B.  Summary below:

Canadian serial # 101044

Officially taken on strength by the Canadian Armed Forces on 30 June 1970 at Bristol Aerospace, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Assigned to 425 Squadron, CFB Bagotville, Quebec on 7 Dec 1970.

Occasional trips to Bristol Aerospace for depot-level inspection and repair

Assigned to 409 Squadron at CFB Comox, British Columbia, on 15 Mar 1979

More occasional trips to Bristol Aerospace

Transferred to the NORAD Visitor Center (now us) on 6 July 1984.

This information comes to us with the assistance of Mr. Bill Nurse and Mr. Martin Keenan, both researchers with the National Air Force Museum of Canada (www.airforcemuseum.ca).

I’ll work up some similar info on the CF-100 when I’m able….

Jeff
