AN/FPS-6 Height Finder Radars determined the altitude of aircraft originally detected by search radars. The AN/FPS-6 had an operating range of 200 miles with a height measuring capability to 75,000 feet. These height finders saw service in Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Britain and the Continental United States.
